The Legend Is Back: Ford GT

His futuristic shapes divided opinions : unlike the GT 2000s, made in the image and likeness of the 1960 model, the new GT brings vague memories of their ancestors, as the format of headlights and taillights, the slots on the hood and the for- wavy rear fenders.

The streamlined body, with creases side arriving to the back and the airfoil with height and angle variables, is one of the reasons being the GT  that in place of traditional V8 engine will be offered with the 3.5 V6 EcoBoost Twin - Turbocharged (Ford is limited to say that its power exceeds 600 horsepower). The wheel rim 20" receive Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires, and brake discs are ceramic compounds. This is Car Review of Ford GT:

Internally, the GT is as futuristic as outside : the steering wheel was inspired by Formula 1 bolide, with many willing commands (note that there stems arrow or windshield wiper); the digital instrument panel was also inspired by the current competition cars, the traditional gear lever has been deleted in favor of the paddle- shifts behind the wheel for sequential exchanges, the multimedia system SYNC debut its third generation and two air outlets in format merging the parallelogram door panels (which open up as the McLaren 650S). Banks have fixed position, and because of that, steering wheel and pedals adjust.

Cot and structural panels in carbon fiber, aluminum for front and rear structures, and behind a new 3.5-liter V6 biturbo with two shots (direct and indirect ) that delivers more than 600 horsepower to the rear axle via one 7-speed DSG. The engine is based on the architecture of the company’s IMSA Daytona Prototype endurance racer. The mid-mounted twin-turbo V6 engine is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle which, according to Ford, offers “near-instantaneous gear changes and exceptional driver control".

New aerodynamic elements from its “optimum tear-drop shape” to the “aircraft-inspired fuselage and visibility-enhancing curved windshield” are said to minimise drag and optimise downforce.
